Myoungja Brown, Pharm.D., Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Myoungja Brown is a pharmacist for CVS and serves as the CEO of Meed Properties


LISLE, IL, July 3, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Myoungja Brown, Registered Pharmacist for CVS Pharmacy and Chief Executive Officer of Meed Properties LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of pharmaceutical services and real estate investment.

Dr. Brown became a pharmacist for CVS in 2008. Her tasks include filling and verifying prescriptions, supervising technicians, managing customer service, and recommending OTC products. She decided to devote her career to healthcare because she felt that it was an industry that offered women with equal opportunities for professional growth.

In addition to her pharmacy work, Dr. Brown serves as the CEO of Meed Properties, a real estate investment company that she runs with her husband Ed. They currently have four rental properties and have been in business since June 2006. She attributes the success that she has enjoyed in two different fields to her hard work, natural aptitude, and detail-oriented nature.

An honors graduate of the University of Illinois, Chicago, Dr. Brown completed her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2008. She is a member of the Illinois Pharmacists Association, the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists, the American Pharmacists Association, the National Community Pharmacists Association, Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Mu Gamma, and the National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society of the United States.

Dr. Brown received a scholarship from the Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund in 2005, a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship in 2003, and an Achievers Scholarship in 2002 and a Freshman Scholarship in 2001, both from the College of DuPage. Other recognitions with which Dr. Brown was honored include a first place finish at the 2008 Business Plan Competition organized by the College of Pharmacy of the University of Illinois, Chicago, inclusion in the National Dean's List from 2002 to 2007, and Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards in 2002 and 2004 and an Honor Scholar Award in 2003 from the College of DuPage. She gives generously to her local Food Pantry. In five years, Dr. Brown aspires to become a clinical pharmacist.
