Carman Marie Colwell, published author, followed her passion to success
OTIS ORCHARDS, WA, March 09, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Author Carman Marie Colwell has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication and excellence in creative writing.
Just eight years after deciding to become a professional writer, Carman Marie Colwell has published numerous children's books, short stories for children and adults, and books encompassing a wide range of subjects. Ms. Colwell first began to explore her talents as a writer while recuperating from an illness. She began keeping journals and gained support and encouragement from her instructors. Shortly thereafter, Ms. Colwell took the plunge and wholly devoted herself to her passion. Focusing primarily on inspirational stories for children and teens, Ms. Colwell has been able to capture the imaginations of her young readers. Her works include a short story, titled "Saving Rico," about a man who saves a German shepherd, and "Pete," a story about a parakeet. She cites her ability to create literature that appeals to a wide range of audiences to be the most rewarding aspect of her profession.
Ms. Colwell is a member of the Institute of Children's Literature and Spokane Authors and Self-Publishers. A widely experienced children's writer, she is available to speak with the media. Contact (509) 226-0114.
