Dr. Lancelot O. Alexander Has 29 Years of Experience in Treating Neuromuscular Disease, Chronic Headaches and Adult ADD

ENCINO, CA, March 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Dr. Lancelot O. Alexander, Neurologist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in neurology.

With 29 years of experience in the medical profession, Dr. Lancelot O. Alexander is a respected specialist in neuromuscular diseases, electromyography, headache diagnosis, and adult attention-deficit disorder. He has been in private practice since 1993. Also involved in teaching, clinical research and hospital consulting, Dr. Alexander previously taught as an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, San Diego, where he served as deputy director of the neuromuscular clinics at the university hospital. He is now an Associate Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He was honored with teaching awards by both UCSD and UCLA. Listed consistently in Southern California Super Doctors, he attributes his success to his perseverance and passion for his profession.

Dr. Alexander completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuromuscular Diseases and Electromyography at the University of California, San Francisco in 1987 and completed his residency in neurology in 1986 at UCLA. He earned his MD in 1980 from The Johns Hopkins University and his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1976 from Yale University. His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Internal Medicine, the American Headache Society, the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the American Medical Association. In five years, he would like to return to teaching and collaborate with other physicians in the field of clinical research.

In his spare time, Dr. Alexander volunteers with his local Presbyterian Church as an elder and choir member. An avid sportsman, he enjoys playing and viewing cricket, and has served as Vice President of the Southern California Cricket Association and as Southwest Regional Director of the United States of America Cricket Association. Dr. Alexander has also served as a volunteer in short term medical missions in Mexico and South Africa.
