Anthony T. Hawkins celebrates third year with the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church

FORT WASHINGTON, MD, November 7, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anthony T. Hawkins, Administrator for the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in administrative services.

A skilled administrative professional, Anthony T. Hawkins lends 15 years of professional experience to the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church. At his current post, he is tasked with handling vendor contracts, maintaining equipment and supplies, and supervising the church support staff. He also implements church policies, manages the property and negotiates with service providers.

In recognition of professional excellence, Mr. Hawkins was honored with the "Distinguished Service Award" by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the "President's Award" by the African American Culture Committee. He credits unwavering dedication to his church to be the driving force behind his success.

Mr. Hawkins holds a bachelor of arts in political science from Howard University. His professional affiliations include the National Society of Scabbard and Blade, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, The American Legion, the Congressional Black Caucus Veterans Braintrust and the American Political Science Association.
