Dr. Amoy Hugh-Pennie Earns Membership With Stanford Who's Who
Amoy Hugh-Pennie, PhD has been welcomed to the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding effort in the treatment of developmental disabilities

TORONTO, ON, CANADA, November 30, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Amoy Hugh-Pennie, PhD has been welcomed to the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding effort in the treatment of developmental disabilities. As an Autism Spectrum Disorder Training and Quality Assurance Manager with Surrey Place Centre, as well as throughout her brilliant professional career, Dr. Hugh-Pennie has consistently exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

Dr. Hugh-Pennie has over 15 years of experience in the fields of education and behavior analysis specifically working with children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities using the principles of applied behavior analysis. Her teaching experiences range from kindergarten through graduate level coursework. She provides consulting services for school districts, public and private schools, and home-based educational programs on various issues including educational content, staff and parent training, behavioral remediation, and program assessment.

With the Surrey Place Centre, Dr. Hugh-Pennie is responsible for developing, coordinating, and participating in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities related to the delivery of services within the Toronto Autism ABA Services Program. She also monitors the consistency of services delivered, including group and individual treatment fidelity across 5 partner agencies. In addition, Dr. Hugh-Pennie provides recommendations on program and system improvements.

During her collegiate career, Dr. Hugh-Pennie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University as well as a Master of Education degree and a PhD in Special Education/Behavior Analysis from Columbia University. She is a member of the International Association for Behavior Analysis International, Ontario Association for Behavior Analysis, Council for Exceptional Children, Kappa Delta Pi- International Honors Society, and the Columbia University Alumni Association.
