PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI, November 16, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Jean Ronald Cornely, Executive Director of Centre National de Radiotherapie de Chimiotherapie et de Medecine Nucleaire, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in obstetrics and gynecology as teacher and clinician.
Dr. Cornely is a world-renowned obstetrics and gynecology physician specializing in the treatment of cancer. Since 1976, he has committed himself to his practice by delivering consistent and dedicated care. In addition to treating women with gynecological cancer, he conducts intensive research to find a cure, and spearheads an international initiative to provide care around the globe. Currently, Dr. Cornely is working with the Haitian government to establish a cancer center in Port-Au-Prince, his birthplace and the city in which he earned an MD. A fellow of the International Gynecologic Cancer Center, he is utilizing a $10 million budget by collaborating with the International Atomic Energy Agency to complete the project in the coming few years.
Recently named Executive of the Year representing Obstetrics and Gynecology by Cambridge Who's Who, Dr. Cornely's ambitions do not end in Port-Au-Prince. He plans to have two other cancer centers in the country to face the needs of the people. He is thinking strongly of building a private, standardized international hospital to assuage as many health problems in Haiti as he can.
