Founded in September of 2009, with shipping services launched in December of 2010, Great Eagle Shipping Lines Ltd. is a container shipping company with offices in Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia. The company specializes in fuel shipping throughout north and southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and the Middle East, with a fleet of 36 ships.

Over the course of his impressive 35 plus year career, Mr. Dafni has gained an incredible knowledge of the global shipping market, and of the Asia Pacific region in particular. He has been Director of the Asian Shipper Association (HK) Ltd. since 2009. Igal previously served as President and CEO of Cheng Lie Navigation Co., Ltd. Taiwan; president of ZIM Integrated Shipping Asia Pacific; and President and CEO of Gold Star Line (Hong Kong) Ltd.

During his collegiate career, Igal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree in Mathematical Science from the University of Haifa. He is a member of the Maritime Industry Group. In addition, Mr. Dafni's biography has been published in the Journal of Commerce.
