SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY, November 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joanne Huber-Sturans, Vice President of Human Resources at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in her field.

As a Vice President at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, Ms. Huber-Sturans manages the hospital's Human Resources Department, providing systems support and technological development with regard to interdepartmental services, human resources strategy, and employee wellness and benefit provisions. She is also responsible for implementing initiatives for health care reform, enhanced patient care and patient and employee satisfaction. She attributes her success to her leadership skills, collaborative perspective and endless intellectual curiosity.

Ms. Huber-Sturans earned a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Mercy College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Marist College. In addition to her formal education, she gained the Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) certification through the Human Resource Certification Institute in 2010. She is a member of the Statewide Human Resource Advisory Council through the Healthcare Association of New York State, the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the National and Local Society for Human Resources Management. In years to come, Ms. Huber-Sturans intends to pursue a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership and Development. She would like to continue working in the field of human resources administration, sharing her knowledge with others, furthering progressive development, and serving as an exemplary leader in an upper-management position.
