Lynda Metelsky Is In Tune With Stanford Who's Who

TORONTO, ON, CANADA, November 18, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who proudly welcomes Lynda Metelsky to the exclusive network of premier professionals as a result of her magnificent work in music. Throughout her brilliant professional career, Lynda has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision and perseverance necessary to be considered among the best.

Lynda has served on the piano faculty of University of Toronto since 1983 and on faculty at the Royal Conservatory since 1981, where she has also served as Piano Department Head for 16 years. She also serves on the summer faculty of the International Institute for Young Musicians at the University of Kansas. Additionally, Lynda has conducted master classes in Germany at the Mannheim School and in the United States at schools including the San Francisco Conservatory, University of Kansas, and the Hartt School.

Since 1988, Ms. Metelsky has been a frequent lecturer on piano pedagogy across Canada and the United States. She is a regular presenter at pedagogy conferences and serves as a piano pedagogy instructor at the Royal Conservatory. Lynda also examines ARCT and Piano Pedagogy for RCM Examinations. In addition, she was responsible for developing the Teaching Internship Program in the Artist Diploma in Performance and Pedagogy at the Glenn Gould School.

During her collegiate career, Lynda earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance from the University of Toronto. She also earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford, where she studied with Pierre Souvairan, Luiz de Moura Castro and Karl Ulrich Schnabel.
