President Of Baltimore-Based SPG Trend Advisors Named Outstanding Financial Professional

BALTIMORE, MD, November 8, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Morris R. Segall, President of Baltimore-based SPG Trend Advisors, has been recognized as Outstanding Financial Professional for 2012 by Cambridge Who's Who.

Cambridge honored Segall for the excellence and accuracy of his analyses of global economic conditions, as well as his successful career in finance, investments, and banking culminating in his ground-breaking work with SPG Trend Advisors.

Morris Segall co-founded SPG Trend Advisors with noted economist Anirban Basu to provide economic, geopolitical, and financial analysis and forecasting to a wide range of private sector and industry organizations.

Morris Segall has been in the forefront of recognizing and articulating innovative, new strategies and models for businesses to adapt to the new economic environment of the 21st century. He has been responsible for the development of successful capital markets strategies and asset allocation advice to a wide range of investment advisory firms. He also has been a key contributor of economic and financial advice for government agencies in Maryland.

He currently is a regular contributor to The Baltimore Sun, analyzing global economic and geopolitical trends.

He also has been the keynote speaker at such prestigious financial and business forums as Vistage International, the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and the Construction Financial Management Association, while authoring the incisive commentaries on the SPG Trend website and blog. He recently was asked to present his analysis of the impact of national financial and regional economic conditions to the University of Maryland Board of Regents.

Before co-founding SPG Trend Advisors, Segall served as Senior Vice President at Mercantile Bank and Trust Company and at Mellon Financial Corporation. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Investment Counselor and serves on the Investment Banking and Financial Advisors Committee of the American Bankruptcy Institute.

The University of Baltimore graduate is a member of the Business Advisory Council for the Comptroller of the State of Maryland and the Joint Committee on Unemployment Insurance Oversight for the Maryland General Assembly.
