LITTLETON, CO, November 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Terri Woodin, CMP, CHSE, Director of Sales for Associated Luxury Hotels International in its West Region, primarily focusing on business development in Northern California, Washington and Oregon, has been recognized as a VIP member by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in hospitality sales.

An innovative leader and strategist, Ms. Woodin has been working in the hospitality industry for 27 years in a variety of positions, including front office, restaurants, banquets, conference services, catering sales, hotel and resort group sales, and hotel national sales. Her unique blend of industry experience at Fortune 100 International Hotel Chains, as well as at successful Independent Hotel Collections allows her to be a unique partner in today's business climate and she is recognized as a trusted advisor.

Terri is regarded as one of the hospitality industry's experts in sales, analyzing trends, expertise in facilitating contract negotiations, and consistently gathering competitive intelligence to educate and be an advocate for her clients. Her public speaking engagements take her to numerous workshops on these topics for hospitality associations, she has authored articles for Perspective Magazine, and she is a part time faculty member in the Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Events management at Metropolitan State College of Denver.

Terri is an industry leader and continues to give back through her many volunteer positions. She currently serves on the Board for Meeting Professionals International Northern California Chapter (MPINCC) as Director of Education and she has held various Board and Committee positions since 1995 with MPI, SITE, and PCMA.

She has been recognized for her work with a number of awards and nominations. Most recently, she was named MPINCC Committee Chair of the Year for 2010-2011. In March 2010, she received the Meeting Sites Resource "WOW" Service Award for her exceptional national sales performance, and in March 2009 she received the National Salesperson of the Year Award in recognition and appreciation of her NSO support to Conference Direct.

Terri received her BA from Michigan State University, College of Business, School of Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Management, a certificate from the University Culinary Program, Ecole' Hotelier in Lausanne, Switzerland, and obtained the Certified Hospitality Sales Executive (CHSE) designation in 2011, and the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 1997. Professional memberships include, Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE) and Meeting Professional International (MPI).

In the future, Ms. Woodin hopes to do more speaking at hospitality industry conferences and teaching at the college level to share her unique blend of industry experience and knowledge.
