Vonda Lockwood celebrates 25 years with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

Ms. Lockwood has cultivated her expertise in sustainability throughout her 25 years of professional experience. For the past two years, she has utilized her skills in the role of director of innovations, sustainability and compliance for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Her position entails eliminating waste in stores, overseeing communications and maintaining repairs. Furthermore, she handles compliance issues and ensures that there is a program in place to address these issues. She serves as captain of the Waste Sustainable Value Network and is responsible for the zero waste program. Ms. Lockwood attributes her success to the fact that she was given performance opportunities to showcase her talents.

A graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, Ms. Lockwood holds a Bachelor of Arts in computer programming. She started working at Wal-Mart while in college, when she attained a summertime position with the company. Looking toward the future, Ms. Lockwood aspires to continue advancing within the company and become a senior director for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
