Created by Pastry Chef Katie Rosenhouse, "lovebites" Joins Kickstarter in an Effort to Raise Funds for Kids with Cancer While Launching Small Business
Pastry Chef Katie Rosenhouse has created "lovebites" a dessert company specializing in bite-sized sweets. She hopes to use Kickstarter to fund her project, while donating part of the proceeds to "cookies for kid's cancer".

NEW YORK, NY, December 24, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- After graduating from the French Culinary Institute in New York City, Katie worked for some of the best restaurants in the city: Le Cirque, Bouley, Country, Olana and the David Burke restaurant group. She's demonstrated and served desserts at the Food & Wine Festival, The Fall Conference at The French Culinary Institute and The New York Chocolate Show, while placing recipes in a series of books by Alan Batt, and writing the Foreword to his most recent book Pies. She's also done plenty of chatting on Martha Stewart on Sirius Radio, created desserts for top publications such as a Last Bite in Food & Wine Magazine, The Daily News, and Brides Magazine, and competed in the Starchef's International Pastry Competition this past year, Chopped and Sweet Genius on the Food Network, and Scharffen Berger's Chocolate Adventure Contest.

lovebites (lovebitesnyc.com) is a dessert company specializing in bite-sized sweets for restaurants, companies, and anyone who has a hankering for a little something sweet. She has placed her project on a site called Kickstarter that helps create a page to advertise your company and raise necessary funds to cover some of the start-up costs of a small business. It's a well respected site that has been featured on CNN and in the NY Times, and is a great way for people to raise the funds they need to make their dreams a reality.

A portion of all proceeds will go toward "cookies for kid's cancer" (cookiesforkidscancer.org): an amazing charity committed to raising funds to support research for new and improved therapies for pediatric cancer. The site is no risk: if she cannot raise the funds she's attempted in the required amount of time, no one is charged.
