CHELMSFORD, MA, December 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kara K.H. Conner, Staff Development Coordinator of Blaire House of Tewksbury, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing administration.

As Staff Development Coordinator for Blaire House of Tewksbury, Ms. Conner is responsible for ensuring that employee health records are current, fulfilling the staff's educational needs in a timely manner, working with nursing management to train new employees, tracking resident antibiotic use & infection rates, and other duties as required. She became involved in her profession because her father was ill when she was young, and she observed that the nurses were doing a poor job of taking care of him; she felt that she could do better. Ms. Conner also helps operate science fiction conventions, and she is trying to stage a literary conference for 2013.

Ms. Conner received a master's degree in health care and nursing education from the University of Phoenix in 2007, having become a licensed registered nurse in 1997 and having earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1996. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Northern Lights Costuming Guild and the USS Hood Star Trek Fan Association. Looking ahead, Ms. Conner hopes to continue in her present role.
