Troy R. Thompson hopes to grow Cafe Gourmet Sauces into a nationally-recognized brand

Bensalem, PA, December 1, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Troy R. Thompson, Proprietor of Cafe Gourmet Sauces, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in specialty product manufacturing.

An experienced professional in the food service industry, Mr. Thompson shares his unique culinary creations through Cafe Gourmet Sauces. For the past eight years, he has been creating uniquely flavored condiment sauces using the freshest ingredients available. Sauce flavors include a gourmet barbecue, a zesty honey mustard, a smoked jalapeno ketchup and a sloppy Joe sauce, with plans to release a new hot dog relish soon. Mr. Thompson markets these sauces nationally to specialty shops, meat markets, trade shows, and at fundraisers. He hopes to grow his business into a national brand and seize any opportunities that may come his way in order to help himself and others.

Mr. Thompson got his start in the food-service industry as a teenager. He also cooked during a stint in the military (for which he was honored with a Naval Medal of Achievement) and has worked for banquet event-planning establishments as well as in the casual- and fine-dining realms. In order to enhance his knowledge, he received a bachelor's degree in business from Central Texas College.

In addition to helming Cafe Gourmet Sauces, Mr. Thompson also serves as chief of production and service at The VA Medical Center, where he manages a staff of 80 employees and eight supervisors in two locations, and oversees the procurement, logistics, production, and menu planning of patients' food.

A supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, American Red Cross, March of Dimes Foundation, Catholic Charities, The Lord's Diner and various homeless outreach and church organizations, he was recognized by the Federal Executive Board as a silver medalist for outstanding public service in 2010. The Veterans Administration also honored him with six On the Spot Awards. He attributes his success to attention to detail, always giving 100 percent, leading by example, providing firm yet fair leadership and empathy.
