Cambridge Who's Who Names Charles E. Dover Jr. Professional of the Year in Community Services
Mr. Dover extends a helping hand to his community
TAYLORSVILLE, UT, January 24, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charles Dover Jr., Vice Supreme Master of Knights of Columbus, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Community Services. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
Over the past 33 years, Mr. Dover has continuously given back to his community; he has spent the last four years as District Master of the Utah Knights of Columbus, a fraternal membership organization that provides charitable services, community support, youth programs and activities, and veterans' assistance. Mr. Dover is involved in marketing programs, internal and external communications, membership growth, program development, advertising and solicitation of volunteers. He also coordinates programs and services for the community with an emphasis on veterans, youth, and the homeless and needy. Furthermore, he organizes volunteers and makes donations to various noble causes.
Mr. Dover's affiliation with the Knights of Columbus began 28 years ago. He initially joined the organization to become more involved in his religion and serve mankind. After many years of membership, he decided to seek an office. No one could have ever imagined the fulfillment that this affiliation would bring to his life. The needs of people and communities around the world, and the degree to which Mr. Dover's charitable actions have made an impact inspire him to continue in this labor of love. He also desires to aid his family by providing them with the love and assistance they need so that they too may continue to enjoy a fruitful and happy life.
His journey through life has made him aware that he truly has been extremely blessed. He feels all have a ministry, whether or not they ever heed the calling, and that life's experiences should make one better, not bitter, as everything
happens for a reason. He says charity has no limits, and with so much lacking in the world today, especially in light of the present economy, he has no future plans for discontinuing his philanthropic work.
A graduate of Trinity College, Mr. Dover holds a bachelor's degree in business management and marketing. In addition to his membership in the Knights of Columbus, he is a member of the Great Salt Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America, The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mr. Dover has received many accolades over the years, some of which include receiving the Circle of Honor Award from the Supreme Council three times, the New Council Development Award, the Federal Service Executives Award for Volunteerism, the Council Retention Award and the Round Table Achievement Award three times. In addition, Mr. Dover also received The President's Call to Service Award from President George Bush.
