NORTH BAY VILLAGE, FL, January 11, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Davide Veglia, President and Founder of ABTS Convention Services, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Event Planning. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

A seasoned professional, Mr. Veglia has over 16 years of experience in global event planning as the President and Founder of ABTS Convention Services, which serves as an exclusive international partner to over 17 major U.S. medical associations. Mr. Veglia is responsible for leading the team he created in four international offices, delivering internationally friendly group housing, corporate travel, onsite support and sales and marketing to his U.S. medical association clients and their domestic housing partners, connecting them to his network of over 9,000 international planners all over the world.

A native Italian, Mr. Veglia received his degrees in hospitality management and started the company as a 24 year old tourism and travel student. He is an active member of PCMA and ICCA. In the years to come, Mr, Veglia hopes to expand the company to specialize in full service (PCO) meeting planning in international destinations outside the U.S.
