Dr. Anne Banfield Named a VIP of the Year for Excellence in Women's Health Care
Dr. Banfield is inspired by the fact that she "always wanted to become a doctor"

ELKINS, WV, January 20, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anne L. Banfield, Gynecologist for Women's Healthcare, has been recognized as a VIP Member of Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in gynecological medicine.

Although she has been in practice for just two years, Dr. Banfield is successful because she is driven by a lifelong interest in helping others. A gynecologist for Women's Healthcare, she is an expert in delivering babies and advising patients on contraception management. She takes a genuine interest in her patients' care, giving attention to all of their questions and individual needs.

Dr. Banfield, who will be completing the oral board examination this year, earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology, with a minor in chemistry, from Capital University in 2000 before attaining an MD from West Virginia University in 2005. She was honored with an Outstanding Preceptor Award from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. In the future, she intends to teach medical students during their rotations.
