Maryam Ghiai Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Investment Management
Ms. Ghiai manages the pension funds for teachers in Ontario

THORNHILL, ON, CANADA, February 3, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maryam Ghiai, Vice President of IT Service Delivery at the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in investment management.

As a vice president of IT Service Delivery for the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, Ms. Ghiai specializes in the utility of information technology, as well as executive level management. She is responsible for supporting the technology needs of investment businesses of the fund that manage 107 billion dollars of assets. Ms. Ghiai started her career in Paris, France as a programmer in the mid 80s with an investment bank at a time when derivatives and deregulation were coming into effect in France. She then progressed through various IT capabilities within the capital markets world and she worked in London, England, the United States, and Canada. Most recently she has spent nine years with the Bank of Montreal in various senior IT roles supporting the capital markets and the wealth management businesses of the bank.

Ms. Ghiai received a master's degree in econometrics and statistics from the Universite Paris-Assas having received a Bachelor of Arts in econometrics from the same university. She has completed an MBA equivalent in finance and banking at the Universite Paris-Sorbonne. In 2009, she was the recipient of an award of excellence, given to her by the Bank of Montreal.
