Michael D. Robinson Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Health Solutions Management
Michael Robinson has been named a VIP Member for 2011-2012

ROSWELL, GA, February 2, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael D. Robinson, General Manager of Health and Life Sciences for Microsoft, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health solutions management.

As the general manager of health and life sciences at Microsoft, the software giant, Mr. Robinson specializes in managing a high-performing sales organization and analyzing profit and loss. Mr. Robinson manages the company's entire portfolio of software solutions for health care organizations in both the public and commercial sectors, and develops team partnerships.

Prior to joining Microsoft, where he has been productively engaged for the last 10 years, Mr. Robinson served as the vice president of operations and the vice president of professional services at Hitachi Data Systems Solutions. He was also a managing director at Sterling Software and the president of Robinson-Cole and Associates. At New York Telephone Company, where he worked for 15 years, he held various technical and management positions. Mr. Robinson has been working in the field of technology for 30 years.

Attributing his success primarily to his mentors and sponsors, Mr. Robinson also credits his ability to make and maintain relationships with others while creating joint success and personal accountability. He became involved in his profession because he feels that health care is a place where impact can be seen through better quality care, lower cost, and reform.
Mr. Robinson is pursuing a master's degree in public health from Benedictine University. He holds an Executive MBA from Pace University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from National Louis University. He sits on numerous community boards and is the chairman of the New York Urban League, which has honored him with a Frederick Douglass Award. He has also been recognized by the Harlem YMCA with a Black Achievers in Industry Award. In the coming years, Mr. Robinson would like to grow in his current position, stay abreast of all industry changes, and make significant changes in the health arena. In addition, he would like to take on a second career with a nonprofit organization or in teaching.
